Being a Woman

Being a Woman

Hello ladies, hope you all making progress on your awesome journeys, and if not, don’t stress, you can always get back up again and carry on. Never discount the tenacity and willpower within. For those of you that are reading my blog for the first time, in the past two blogs, I challenged all our readers to start giving themselves a little TLC. A little, ‘I care about me time’, which we seem to so easily forget with the hustle and bustle of everyday life and those around us.

So the title of my blog today is ‘Being a Woman’, gosh, such a diverse statement in the spectrum we fall under, now I know the most common joke is that women are the most complex creatures in the universe, and that understanding a woman is like solving a Rubik’s cube! However, I have found some pretty simple methods that most often work for myself, and I am sure there are a lot of you out there that feel the same and haven’t sat to think for even 5 minutes about your deep emotions and thoughts within.

Women are beautiful in their simple complexity, to be a woman, we were born with the gift of emotion, passion and compassion, never mind the strength we often have to draw on, the will power and determination, the nurturing spirit and gentleness, yet the lion’s roar to protect those we love. We love deeply and truly, thus we need to have the strength to protect our hearts, we were born with the ability to grow a life within us, how amazing! Now I am not one of the amazing women that have had this experience, but as profound as I find it, I share my compassion and love in other ways as I’m sure many of you do.

Often people think women are so complex and difficult to understand, but deep down, there are really three longings in a woman’s heart that have been there since she was little, to feel appreciated, to feel desired and beautiful and to feel loved and needed. If you sit and think about it, we are all so diverse and have so many beautiful quirks. For the girl who’s partner brings her flowers or looks her deeply in the eye and says,” I love you and thank you for the support”, for the mum who’s child says,” Mom you’re the best!”, for the friend who says, “I couldn’t have done this without you”, these all make us feel so warm and I doubt any of you couldn’t smile in that moment.

Now I want you to imagine for a minute, saying all those things to yourself, “Thankyou for the support”, “You’re the best”, “I couldn’t have done this without you”. Makes you think, doesn’t it? Do you appreciate your beautiful diverse and complicated at times self? Do you look yourself in the mirror and feel proud of the person staring back at you? Well, you should, because she is beautifully and wonderfully made! She is you, and you are a beautiful woman!
